Theraline | The Original Maternity and Nursing Pillow

As some of you may now know I am expecting baby no2 when I already have a one year old (yikes!).
I work full time and the tiredness seems to have kicked in early, much earlier this time round. Im 22 weeks pregnant but feel like (& look like) I should be heading in to week 30 at the very least!
I have found it really difficult to get comfortable and really needed a support pillow for that extra comfort.

The award winning Theraline Original Maternity & Nursing Pillow is a fantastic choice as at this stage it helps mums to be to get the much needed restful nights sleep.

The pillow is actually made up of millions of tiny micro beads that are as light as a feather. The pillow conforms to the shape of your body during pregnancy whether you aer lying down or sitting up. The pillow is offering me a fantastic multi use at the moment as Leia is sitting up its also being used as a support for her whilst she is on the floor or in her travel cot & be used for new baby when he / she arrives in July. If you were to breastfeed the pillow doubles up as a comfortable feeding pillow.

The Original Theraline Maternity & Nursing Pillow offers:
  • Stable Support during your pregnancy
  • Relief for legs, belly & a stretched back
  • Easy to change sleeping positions
  • Offers real comfort for baby feeding
  • Safely moulds to baby's body
  • Amazing back support for mum
Have you used a nursing pillow, if so which one?

That's not my squirrel...! | Usborne Books

I don't know about you but having a one year old is the most fun stage ever!
Leia is now really interacting with us and her little character is coming out at every stage.
We first found out about Usborne books at an at home sensory class, the teacher actually had the 'That's not my bunny' book. From that moment we were hooked! We already had the 'That's not my polar bear...!' book which we picked up from Morrison's for around £3.

Usborne books has kindly sent Leia a copy of their newest release 'That's not my squirrel...' to test run.
It really hasn't disappointed. Leia loves the soft and squishy textures that you can expect from every book in the series.
There are five mischievous squirrels to meet in this touchy-feely board book, all with soft noses, rough paws and fluffy tails. The bright pictures and textured patches for babies and toddlers to stroke are specially designed to develop sensory and language awareness.

Have you got a favorite series of books or book for your little one?
You can check out the 'That's not my squirrel...!' book here

Perfect First Birthday Gift | Nattou Baby Rocking Horse

The Nattou baby rocker is honestly the prettiest toy I have seen to date. It would look perfectly placed in any little girl’s nursery.
We chose the Charlotte & Rose Giraffe Rocker. I found ours here

The rocker was delivered the day after we ordered it so super quick, which was impressive.
Inside the box was a fully assembled (yay!) baby rocker. I know it’s not a horse but I keep calling it a rocking horse (as you do).
The rocker is strategically placed within a clear plastic storage bag with handles. We have used it for clothes storage (a whole other story!)
The only additional packaging is polystyrene covers on the rocking part of the toy.
The seat and giraffe is super plush and very soft and looks very safe as long as your baby is sitting up rather sturdy and unaided. At this stage we wouldn’t leave Leia in the rocker alone just in case, although there is a waist harness on the seating level.

Leia found the rocker easy to use & although wobbly absolutely loved it!
The rocker is suitable from 10 – 36 months. I love this brand and am so glad I found it.

Did you get your baby a rocking horse, if so which one did you go for?

1st Birthday Letter to Leia from Mummy & Daddy

I actually can’t believe I am writing this. My little lady has turned one! I know every parent must say this but Leia truly is the best baby I have ever known. She has turned in to such a little character, although she is not walking just yet she is in to EVERYTHING and shuffling along the floor at a nice little pace.

To be honest I am in no rush for her to be that mobile. I know she will keep me on my toes so I am happy to wait a few more months!

Leia has changed so much in the last 4 months. She now gives us kisses, I say us – Daddy tends to get the most kisses! She passes things to me, loves bright toys and is so determined to get to where she wants to go.

Leia babbles on a regular basis, again most often saying ‘Da Da’.

For her birthday, we have had a week-long celebration starting with a birthday meal out with my other half’s family, swimming and then a party a week later with my family which is tomorrow.

We decided not to go crazy on the toy front, we do have lots to be fair and they are mainly the 6 – 36 month age range so are still in use (some still in the packaging).
I have seen pictures of her dad at about her age playing on a small rocking horse and after seeing the Nattou baby rockers I knew this would be the perfect present for our daughter.

I chose the Charlotte & Rose Giraffe Rocker. I am so happy with my decision! I scoured the net & I found Leia’s here, I will write a full review on the rocker soon

I think Leia must have had the perfect birthday as she was still trying to play at 2am that evening whilst we were trying to sleep which is so unlike her. Hopefully she will get back on her normal routine in the coming days!
Happy 1st birthday princess. Lots of love mummy & daddy x

Pommade Divine - The Magic Ointment For Mum & Baby

Pommade Divine is the 300 year old natural remedy balm that can be used to soothe and heal

Before I was sent the natures remedy balm I knew little about it, however after doing a little reading about what it claims to treat I was really excited to try it.

It is your typical multi tasker for mum and baby used by Sienna Miller.

The most interesting thing for me is that it claims to soothe cradle cap, my one year old had this and nothing seems to work so I thought we could give it a go.

The cream is lovely and thick in consistency and doesn't leave an oily residue.

Naturally as soon as I had taken the blog pics the first thing I did was put some on my lips as they were chapped as it was freezing. The cream absorbed instantly.

The evening came and before I bathed Leia I massaged a small amount in to her affected scalp and used a baby brush to remove what I could, to my surprise the dry cradle cap was coming out with ease.

We then bathed her, washing her hair, combed when it ws drying and more was coming out.

The next morning I was not expecting to wake up to see nothing at all left but to my surprise the cradle cap had disappeared! So impressive.

There is a huge amount this product claims to do. I cant say I have tried it for any of the others but its definitely worth a go!

You can check out Pommade Divine here
Pommade Divine have a great insta feed to so give them a follow @pommadedivine

Mothers Day with the Nivea Q10 Range

I am a huge fan of the *Nivea Q10 range, its so accessible being at most pharmacies & shops.
If you are stuck for a gift idea this Mothers day then keep reading!

The Q10 range is hugely diverse ranging from their Anti Cellulite Gel Cream to their more traditional skin care products like the Q10 day & night creams.

One of my favorite products from the range is the Q10 Plus Anti Wrinkle Day cream, it is thick in consistency and extremely absorbent meaning no residue which is always a plus. There is nothing worse than a cream that just wont shift! I also love the fact that it is a cheeky multitasker with SPF 30 included, something I am rather slack with but understand the importance of.

The Be Indulged gift packs are an indulgent collection of NIVEA® Q10 Plus products and beautiful cosmetic bag are the perfect treat, leaving you with great looking and feeling skin...everyday
They are priced at £15.00 and would make the perfect Mothers Day gift this year!

Check out Nivea's full range here or head down to your local Boots to view the full selection

What are you fav skincare products?

Thanks to Nivea for letting me try some products in advance of this post!
